2019 Hours of Operation and Admission Rates
Tours through the home of George and Hettie Shriver are conducted by guides in period attire. The tour includes the sharpshooters’ nest in the attic, all the finely appointed rooms of the Shrivers’ living quarters, and a visit to Shriver’s Saloon in the cellar. The house becomes a theatrical backdrop to transport you to another time while listening to the story of the Shriver family and their harrowing experiences during the Battle of Gettysburg.
The guided tour through the inside of the house lasts approximately thirty minutes. Plan on exploring the grounds, garden, artifact display and museum shop on your own. A total visitation time of one hour is recommended.
